The transport group Manibela announced a three-day transport strike starting tomorrow amid ongoing concerns over the energy crisis and rising costs.
Group chairman Mar Valbuena said the protest aims to condemn what he described as excessive taxation and exploitation of the public.
He added that fuel prices should be adjusted to P50–P60 per liter, which he claims reflects the “real” cost of fuel.
Valbuena also called for the removal of value-added tax and excise tax on diesel and gasoline, criticizing the government’s revenue collection policies.
The strike is expected to disrupt transport operations as drivers continue to push for relief from fuel-related expenses.
