Filipino rock icons Ely Buendia and Chito Miranda performed to a sold-out crowd at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai on Aug. 30 despite ongoing tensions across the Middle East.
The concert brought OPM nostalgia to Filipino audiences, with Buendia representing Eraserheads and Miranda leading Parokya ni Edgar.
The sold-out show highlighted the continued demand for live Filipino entertainment despite uncertainties surrounding travel, spending, and large-scale events in the region.
The concert was presented by Tiana Entertainment Inc., led by founder and CEO Bojie Yangco, which has organized Filipino concerts in the United States, Canada, Australia, the Middle East, and Kazakhstan.
The company has previously worked with artists including Rivermaya, SB19, Ben&Ben, Buendia, and Miranda.
