Megawide Construction Corp. is proposing a ₱3.5-billion integrated transport hub in Quezon City that could rival the size of the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX).
Its subsidiary, Megawide Terminals Inc., submitted the unsolicited proposal to build and operate the Quezon City Integrated Terminal Exchange on a three-hectare GSIS property along Elliptical Road and Commonwealth Avenue.
The PPP Center endorsed the proposal after finding it compliant with the PPP Code, while GSIS has begun its detailed evaluation.
The terminal is expected to serve around 58,000 passengers during its initial operations and connect various public transport services serving northern Metro Manila and nearby provinces.
If approved, the project would become Megawide’s fourth public-private partnership transport hub, alongside PITX and its ongoing developments in Baguio and Cavite.
