Malacañang announced that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has accepted the resignation of National Security Adviser Eduardo Año, who is retiring from public service due to health reasons.
Former Armed Forces chief-of-staff Eduardo Oban Jr. has been appointed as his replacement.
Año was recognized for his contributions in strengthening national security, counterterrorism, and inter-agency coordination during his tenure since 2023.
