The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board said over ₱98 million in fuel subsidies have been distributed to taxi operators and drivers to help ease the impact of rising fuel prices linked to the Middle East conflict.
LTFRB Chairman Vigor Mendoza II said the agency is also speeding up the release of aid to other public utility vehicle drivers.
Most of the funds were distributed through the LTFRB central office in Quezon City, with additional payouts in Davao Region, Central Visayas, and Western Visayas.
Regional offices were directed to closely coordinate with transport groups to ensure faster and smoother distribution.
Mendoza said another round of payouts is scheduled on April 24 and 25. He also advised beneficiaries facing issues to contact LTFRB hotlines and official social media channels for assistance.
