Taal Volcano recorded renewed activity with two minor phreatic eruptions and a sharp increase in seismic events over the past 24 hours, according to PHIVOLCS.
The steam-driven eruptions lasted about 10 minutes and produced ash plumes reaching 150 to 200 meters above the crater.
It was the fifth minor eruption this month, following several similar events earlier in April.
Alongside the eruptions, authorities logged 48 volcanic earthquakes and tremors, the highest daily total for the month, indicating continued subsurface activity.
Despite the unrest, Taal remains under Alert Level 1, though PHIVOLCS continues to warn of possible sudden steam-driven explosions and maintains strict restrictions on access to the volcano island.
