Alex Eala made her runway debut at the Tory Burch show during New York Fashion Week after her US Open campaign.
The 21-year-old Filipina tennis star attended the event as an athlete guest and sat in the front row for the designer’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection.
Eala, who wore a red blazer and brown slacks, said she was excited and nervous to be part of her first fashion week.
She also noted that sports and fashion both allow people to express their personality, while sharing that her mother grew up wearing Tory Burch shoes.
Eala’s appearance came after she received praise from fashion icon and former Vogue editor Anna Wintour ahead of the US Open.
