MMDA Special Operations Group–Strike Force Chief Gabriel Go called for road improvements and stricter action against obstructions after a fire truck hit a parked vehicle in Makati City.
The incident happened on Macabulos Street, where a double-parked sedan blocked the fire truck responding to a fire.
Go warned that double parking, tents, carts, and other road obstructions could delay emergency responders.
Meanwhile, the LTO issued a show-cause order against the sedan’s driver and registered owner for alleged illegal parking and traffic obstruction.
The driver’s license was placed under a 90-day preventive suspension while the investigation continues.
