Former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) secretary Manuel Bonoan has denied allegations that 55 boxes were delivered to him, calling the claims false and uncorroborated.
His statement came after a witness testified before the Sandiganbayan that multiple deliveries of sealed boxes were allegedly made to Bonoan in 2024 and 2025.
Bonoan stressed that he has no involvement in the case and said the accusations are based on hearsay with no supporting evidence or specific details.
The testimony was presented as part of the bail hearing in a malversation through falsification case linked to alleged ghost infrastructure projects in Pandi, Bulacan, where Bonoan is not among the accused.
Meanwhile, the defense team of former senator Bong Revilla dismissed the witness statements as not credible and unrelated to the charges filed in court.
