Quezon City held the 2025 World Day Against Child Labor program at the QC M.I.C.E. Center, attended by around 400 youths, parents, government officials, and partner organizations.
Mayor Joy Belmonte emphasized that ending child labor requires joint action from the local government, national agencies, organizations, and communities.
Supporters included the Norwegian Ambassador to the Philippines, representatives from Mission Alliance, Philippine Children’s Ministries Network, World Vision, and the Department of Labor and Employment.
The Public Employment Service Office also organized a service caravan to assist young people and their parents in preventing child labor.
This year’s theme, “Sa Bagong Pilipinas: Mag-aaral ang Bata, Hindi Manggagawa,” highlights the city’s commitment to protecting children’s rights and promoting education.
