The Philippine National Police (PNP) was excluded from the list of most complained-of government agencies for the first quarter of the year, based on monitoring by the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA).
PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said the result reflects ongoing reforms and an internal cleansing program within the organization.
He credited the improvement to more proactive policing efforts under the Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO).
The PNP also maintained a 63 percent public trust rating and 61 percent satisfaction rating in a recent OCTA Research survey.
Nartatez urged police units to sustain reforms, strictly follow the Citizens’ Charter, and continue removing erring officers to maintain public trust.
