The Filipinas survived a thrilling fourth set, saving eight set points before closing out the match.
Alyssa Solomon, Bella Belen and Eya Laure each scored 17 points, while Dell Palomata added nine points and six blocks.
Jia de Guzman also played a key role with 27 excellent sets and four points.
The silver-medal finish marked a redemption for Alas after missing the podium in the tournament’s first leg in Vietnam.
