A total of 343 Filipinos, mostly OFWs, were safely repatriated from Saudi Arabia and Bahrain on Sunday morning, March 15, via a Philippine Airlines flight chartered by the government.
The group included 328 workers and their children, part of the second batch of voluntary repatriates amid tensions in the Middle East.
They were welcomed at NAIA by officials from the Department of Migrant Workers, OWWA, DOH, and other agencies. They were immediately provided with accommodations, medical checkups, and transportation to their home provinces.
Repatriates will also get financial aid, access to job fairs, livelihood programs, reskilling opportunities, and medical support.
The government has pledged to continue daily flights to bring stranded Filipinos home safely.
