SECURITY BANK CONFIDENT IN GROWTH OUTLOOK DESPITE MIDDLE EAST TENSIONS

Security Bank Corporation remains optimistic about its growth prospects despite global economic uncertainty and the prolonged conflict in the Middle East, citing stronger bank balance sheets.

Security Bank President and CEO Victor Lee said banks remain positive about profitability, although they have become more cautious in extending new loans and financing businesses.

The bank’s three-year growth strategy focuses on wealth management, entrepreneur banking, and corporate and institutional banking, with strong growth recorded in its wealth and small-business portfolios.

Security Bank is also expanding its project and trade financing to support infrastructure, renewable energy, and Philippine businesses, having arranged 10 financing deals worth more than PHP500 billion from 2025 to this year.

Lee also said the bank is developing a centralized artificial intelligence strategy while maintaining the importance of trust, sound judgment, and consistency in serving clients.
