Bacolod City Mayor Greg Gasataya announced the activation of a hotline and help desk to assist overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and residents with family in the Middle East amid ongoing regional tensions.
The city, in coordination with the Department of Migrant Workers, is providing guidance, support, and necessary assistance to ensure the safety of Bacolodnons abroad.
Most residents in the region have reported that they are safe, according to updates received by the city government.
Those needing help can call 09308775097 or visit the Bacolod City Government Center help desks starting March 2.
