The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) reminded commuters that they can file complaints against dirty and foul-smelling public utility vehicles.
LTFRB Chairperson Vigor Mendoza II personally filed a complaint against a taxi operator after encountering an untidy cab in Manila.
The agency issued a show cause order and warned that operators risk suspension or revocation of their franchise for failing to maintain clean vehicles.
Complaints may be submitted through the LTFRB’s social media channels or Hotline 1342.
The policy covers taxis, jeepneys, buses, UV Express units, and ride-hailing vehicles.
