he LTFRB will speed up payments to gas stations participating in the government’s P12-per-liter fuel discount program for jeepneys and UV Express units.
LTFRB Chairman Vigor Mendoza II also ordered regional offices to monitor the program and quickly address implementation concerns.
He said loyal customer promos at some stations can provide an additional discount of up to P5 per liter, bringing total savings to as much as P17 per liter.
More than 143,000 jeepney and UV Express units are enrolled in the program across over 5,000 gas stations nationwide.
Operators can avail of up to 150 liters of discounted fuel weekly, saving around P1,800.
