Jing Quan visited fire victims in Parola, Tondo, Manila, on May 30 as part of a relief operation for families displaced by a recent blaze.
The visit was organized by the Filipino at Tsino Magkaibigan Foundation in coordination with partner groups, which distributed assistance to evacuees staying at the Delpan Evacuation Center.
During his visit, Jing met affected residents and expressed solidarity, saying China and the Philippines should continue supporting each other as neighboring friends.
The fire, which occurred on May 23, affected around 2,000 families and destroyed hundreds of homes in the coastal community.
Authorities and humanitarian organizations continue to assist displaced residents as they work toward recovery and rebuilding their homes and community.
