Gilas Pilipinas defeated Iran, 68-56, on Sunday, Aug. 30, to sweep the fourth window of the 2027 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers.
Juan Gomez de Liaño and Dwight Ramos led a strong fourth-quarter run after Gilas trailed by three points early in the period.
Gomez de Liaño and Ramos each scored 16 points, while Kai Sotto added 13 points and 16 rebounds.
Gilas improved to 4-4 in Group E, just one game behind Iran and Jordan at 5-3.
Mobin Sheikhi led Iran with 21 points as Gilas limited key players Mohammad Amini and Matin Aghajanpour to seven and six points, respectively.
