Eala also highlighted the strong support of Filipino fans for athletes competing internationally.
Clarkson, who previously played for Gilas Pilipinas, praised Eala and said 2026 has been a significant year for Filipino culture and sports.
Eala is set to face American qualifier Mary Stoiana in the US Open opening round.
