A lawmaker has urged the PNP, DepEd, CHED, and private schools to widely promote school safety hotlines and reporting guidelines to help prevent potential attacks.
Rep. Karl Legazpi said the public should be encouraged to report suspicious behavior without fear of making accusations.
He stressed that early reporting allows authorities to assess threats and respond before violence occurs.
The call comes after the recent school shooting in Tacloban City and a separate social media threat that authorities quickly acted on.
Lawmakers are also set to review school safety measures during a House committee meeting on June 29.
