The government can tap P27.93 billion from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Fund (NDRRMF) for ongoing disaster response amid heavy rains and flooding.
The DBM said the fund had an available balance of P27.93 billion as of Aug. 7, out of the P39.82 billion allocation for 2026.
Government agencies also have P14.59 billion in Quick Response Funds for immediate assistance to calamity-hit areas.
The NDRRMC reported that 3.15 million people have been affected, with infrastructure damage exceeding P2.1 billion and agricultural losses reaching over P196.8 million.
The government is also monitoring Tropical Storm Nangka as weather-related damage continues to rise.
