Laguna de Bay’s water level rose to 12.15 meters as of 7 a.m. Thursday, up from 12.08 meters a day earlier, according to the Laguna Lake Development Authority (LLDA).
The lake has risen by 850 millimeters in eight days due to persistent rains from the enhanced southwest monsoon.
Despite the increase, the level remains below the 12.50-meter critical high threshold.
The LLDA warned that continued moderate to heavy rains could further raise the lake’s water level in the coming weeks.
PAGASA said the southwest monsoon will continue to affect most parts of Luzon.
