President Marcos welcomed five newly-designated non-resident ambassadors to the Philippines from Tunisia, Paraguay, Burkina Faso, the Marshall Islands, and Serbia.
The presentation of credentials took place at Malacañang Palace on Tuesday, Nov. 25.
The ambassadors—Mohamed Trabelsi, Miguel Angel Ubaldino Romero Alvarez, Bibata Nebie/Ouedraogo, Anjanette Kattil, and Ivana Golubović-Duboka—formally began their diplomatic tenure.
The ceremony highlighted the commitment of both the Philippines and the respective countries to strengthen bilateral relations and international cooperation.
The Philippines has maintained diplomatic ties with Tunisia since 1975, Paraguay since 1962, Burkina Faso since 2002, the Marshall Islands since 1988, and Serbia since 1972.
