PALACE KEEPS DOOR OPEN TO AQUINO FLOOD CONTROL PLAN

Malacañang said it remains open to the flood control master plan developed under the late President Benigno Aquino III but will review it first.

Palace spokesperson Claire Castro said the government may use different flood control plans together if they can effectively address flooding.

She said the Department of Public Works and Highways is currently organizing flood control efforts based on major river basin plans.

Castro also said documents on completed flood control projects in Davao City should have been submitted to the Independent Commission for Infrastructure for verification.

She stressed that the Marcos administration continues to address flooding in affected areas, including Davao City.
