Davao City Rep. Paolo Duterte alleged that the Statements of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN) of lawmakers may be subjected to scrutiny if they do not support the impeachment of Vice President Sara Duterte.
In a Facebook post, he suggested that SALN checks could be used as pressure against congressmen and described it as “accountability with conditions.”
Duterte also claimed that some political actors are more focused on securing votes than addressing public concerns.
He warned against treating political support as transactional and stressed that impeachment votes should be based on principle and public mandate.
He urged lawmakers to uphold integrity and resist pressure, saying decisions should reflect what is right rather than fear.
