Actor David Licauco is embracing the pressure of starring in the Philippine adaptation of the Korean drama “Fight for My Way,” turning high expectations into motivation to improve his performance.
Director Crisanto B. Aquino and co-star Ashtine Olviga initially found Licauco quiet and intimidating but later described him as playful, collaborative, and easy to work with.
Licauco admitted that he is naturally shy and often prefers to keep to himself, despite his serious appearance.
To prepare for his physically demanding role, he trained in taekwondo and mixed martial arts, including challenging moves such as a spinning kick.
The series, which also stars McCoy De Leon and Aubrey Caraan, will stream on Viva One.
