The House prosecution panel plans to turn over financial documents involving Vice President Sara Duterte and companies linked to her husband, Manases Carpio, to the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) for possible tax evasion cases.
Rep. Zia Alonto Adiong said the documents include records showing a reported ₱111.85-million gap between the couple’s bank inflows and the Vice President’s declared income from 2022 to 2025.
The review also covers alleged tax discrepancies involving Carpio-linked companies Metro City Chow Inc., Cale88 Foods Corp., and GenCorp.
Adiong said the prosecution panel is willing to share its findings with the BIR while focusing on the impeachment proceedings.
The BIR will determine whether the questioned financial transactions constitute taxable income or violations of tax laws.
