Davao City Rep. Paolo Duterte filed libel and cyber libel complaints against NBI Director Melvin Matibag, dismissed police officer Rodulfo Gracioso Jr., and several GMA Network executives and journalists on October 23.
The complaints concern a September 25 report on Gracioso’s claims that he delivered cash to Paolo Duterte and other members of the Duterte family.
Gracioso alleged that he delivered P100 million to the lawmaker, while the vice president and her brother have denied the accusations.
GMA Network said it had yet to receive a copy of the complaint, while Matibag said filing it was Duterte’s prerogative.
The NBI’s investigation into Gracioso’s allegations remains ongoing.
