The government has released more than ₱12 billion this year to finance socialized housing for low-income families, according to the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD).
DHSUD Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling said 10,904 housing units have been financed under the Pag-IBIG Fund, a 173 percent increase from 3,987 units in 2025.
Pag-IBIG also recorded a 15 percent increase in homes financed and a 20 percent rise in housing loan releases from January to September.
Qualified buyers of socialized housing can avail themselves of a subsidized 3 percent home loan interest rate.
The government also offers other affordable loan options to help more Filipinos achieve homeownership.
