President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is offering a new government post to former PNP chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III following his relief from duty, Malacañang confirmed Wednesday.
Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the details of the position will be disclosed once Torre accepts the offer.
Torre stepped down due to “irreconcilable issues” with the National Police Commission, according to Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla.
Castro emphasized that Torre accepted the President’s decision, and there was no tension during the transition.
While Torre’s next role remains undisclosed, the Palace did not confirm whether it will be a Cabinet-level position.
