Senator Mark Villar has denied owning or controlling any interest in PrimeWater Infrastructure Corp. or its partner districts.
He clarified that during his time as Public Works secretary from 2016 to 2021, he did not engage in any transactions involving PrimeWater.
Villar emphasized his focus was on national infrastructure development, distancing himself from PrimeWater-related controversies.
The senator is part of the prominent Villar family, with both parents and a sibling also in politics.
Meanwhile, the government is reviewing complaints against PrimeWater about service interruptions and water quality, with the company cooperating with regulatory agencies.
