President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has ordered the completion of the National Kidney and Transplant Institute’s new dialysis center in Quezon City by the end of 2027.
The 13-story facility, costing P2.8 billion, is expected to become the largest dialysis center in Southeast Asia with 200 machines serving more than 200 patients.
Marcos inspected the project on Friday with top health and public works officials.
The government said the facility is among its flagship hospital projects and aims to improve access to kidney care.
Chronic kidney disease remains one of the leading causes of death among Filipinos.
