The Makati City government recognized schools and learning institutions for their commitment to gender equality and empowerment during the Gawad ALAGAD awards.
The ceremony, led by the city’s Gender and Development Council, honored schools for mainstreaming gender and development initiatives, promoting safe and inclusive learning environments.
Makati High School, Bangkal High School, and Jose Magsaysay Elementary School won first, second, and third place, respectively.
Winners of the GAD Awareness Photo Contest were also recognized, with Jomalyn Agudong taking first place.
Additional plaques were awarded to participating schools for their efforts in advancing gender-responsive education across the city.
