Manila Mayor-elect Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso vowed a stronger government presence to ensure no criminal will be safe in the city.
He stressed that criminals become bolder when they do not feel the government is watching, but increased vigilance will deter crime.
Domagoso warned lawbreakers to expect sleepless nights as authorities will relentlessly pursue them.
Recent data from the National Capital Region Police Office showed a 23 percent decrease in Metro Manila’s index crimes over the past six months.
The drop includes reductions in murder, homicide, rape, physical injuries, robbery, theft, and vehicle carnapping, reflecting the impact of intensified police visibility and quick response efforts.
