The Manila City government placed all public hospitals under Code White alert on Saturday, Aug. 29, amid heavy rains affecting the city.
The alert requires medical personnel, emergency response teams, and operations centers to remain on 24/7 standby for possible emergencies.
The hospitals covered include Gat Andres Bonifacio Medical Center, Ospital ng Tondo, Justice Jose Abad Santos General Hospital, Mayor Ramon Bagatsing General Hospital, Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center, and Sta. Ana Hospital.
The measure was implemented as Metro Manila remained under a Red Rainfall Warning.
The warning was issued due to heavy rains brought by the southwest monsoon.
