Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla is considering raising the P10-million reward for information leading to the arrest of fugitive gambling tycoon Charlie “Atong” Ang, who continues to evade court orders.
Fourteen police raids on his suspected hideouts in Cavite and Pampanga have so far yielded no results.
Ang went into hiding after warrants were issued in Laguna and Batangas over the kidnapping and killing of cockfighting enthusiasts, and he remains armed and dangerous.
Remulla said the reward would come from DILG funds and acknowledged that Ang could have fled abroad, though he believes the tycoon is still in the country.
Meanwhile, the NBI denied being excluded from the manhunt, stressing it continues to enforce the warrants against Ang.
