A report by global recruitment specialist Robert Walters found that at least half of Filipino Gen Z professionals are motivated to stay in their current jobs due to opportunities for career growth.
The study emphasized that companies must prioritize upskilling, mentorship, and clear career development paths to retain younger employees who are quick to leave if their needs are unmet.
It noted that many Gen Z workers prefer structured workplaces with clear senior-junior relationships and a more hands-on, transformational style of leadership.
The survey also showed that 78 percent of Filipino Gen Z professionals prioritize job security and stability, while many across Southeast Asia expect to stay in a company for only one to five years.
Robert Walters said retention now depends not only on salary but also on career progression, stability, and meaningful professional development.
