The Department of Education (DepEd) formally promoted 418 teachers and school heads in Talisay City to accelerate career growth and address long-standing promotion barriers.
The oath-taking ceremony, led by Secretary Sonny Angara, aligns with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to eliminate professional stagnation and strengthen career pathways for educators.
These promotions are part of DepEd’s Expanded Career Progression (ECP) System, which aims to process over 100,000 promotions nationwide this year.
Angara emphasized that supporting teachers’ professional growth directly invests in student success and the future of the education system.
Following the ceremony, he visited a school in Toledo City to inspect new learning facilities, highlighting the administration’s focus on both teacher empowerment and improved school infrastructure.
