The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) has acquired ownership of the property occupied by Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 through a P48-billion agreement with the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA).
Under the deal, MIAA will pay the amount over 15 years, including an initial P10-billion down payment.
Officials said the acquisition will enable major upgrades and modernization projects to improve passenger experience, airport operations, and capacity amid growing travel demand.
The agreement also provides BCDA with funds to support the development of key economic zones and other government projects.
Both agencies described the deal as a significant step toward strengthening the country’s aviation infrastructure and long-term asset management.
