The Manila city government has opened the President Corazon C. Aquino General Hospital, its seventh district hospital, to serve the Baseco Compound community.
Mayor Isko Moreno led the inauguration, highlighting that the three-story, 50-bed facility will cater to around 80,000 residents.
The hospital is equipped with an emergency room, digital x-ray, centralized oxygen supply, and full departments including maternity, pediatrics, surgery, and internal medicine.
Moreno emphasized the importance of patience with healthcare workers who face limited resources while providing care.
Naming the hospital after the country’s first woman president symbolizes the commitment to public service beyond politics.
