The Manila city government has urged residents to wear face masks and observe standard health protocols amid the resurgence of COVID-19 in the metropolis.
The city health department also advised the public to avoid crowded places, maintain physical distancing, stay home when feeling unwell, and seek medical attention if necessary.
The advisory was issued following a rise in COVID-19 cases in Quezon City and other parts of Metro Manila.
Quezon City earlier reported a 265-percent increase in infections but said most of the cases were mild.
Authorities continue to encourage the public to remain vigilant to help prevent further transmission of the virus.
