President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos inaugurated 28 Bagong Pilipinas mobile clinics on Friday at the Manila North Harbor, aimed at delivering primary health care to geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas.
The initiative, inspired by the First Lady’s “Lab for All” project, seeks to address the challenges faced by individuals in remote locations who often struggle to access medical facilities.
In his speech, the President emphasized the difficulties residents face, such as long travel times, expenses, and physical fatigue.
The mobile clinics, which are equipped with essential medical equipment, will be dispatched to provinces including Zamboanga del Norte, Misamis Oriental, and Davao del Sur.
This deployment is part of the government’s broader plan to enhance healthcare accessibility, as outlined in Marcos’s third State of the Nation Address.
