The International Criminal Court (ICC) has clarified that no public arrest warrants have been issued in relation to the situation in the Philippines amid speculation involving Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa.
ICC officials said reports claiming a warrant against Dela Rosa are unverified and not officially confirmed.
Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla also said there is no confirmed information on such a warrant, calling the reports hearsay.
The Department of the Interior and Local Government and the Philippine National Police said they are only preparing contingency measures and will act only on lawful orders.
Authorities also urged the public to avoid spreading unverified information as the ICC continues its investigation into alleged crimes linked to the Duterte administration’s drug war.
