President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos attended the opening of the Presidential Photojournalists Association’s “In Focus: Marcos Presidency” exhibit in Pasay City on Thursday.
The exhibit features photographs documenting Marcos’ official engagements, interactions with Filipinos, meetings with foreign leaders, and other key events during his presidency.
Organized for World Photography Day, the exhibit aims to preserve images of the presidency and highlight the role of professional photojournalists in documenting history.
PPA President Noel Pabalate said the exhibit also underscores the importance of professional photography amid the rise of artificial intelligence and social media.
The exhibit is open to the public for free from Aug. 14 to 30, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., except Mondays.
