Tingog Party-list Rep. Jude Acidre challenged Senator Imee Marcos to present evidence for her claim that House members were offered incentives to support the impeachment of Vice President Sara Duterte.
Acidre said Marcos should name those involved and file cases if she has proof, or stop what he called diversion and accusations against the House.
Marcos earlier alleged that lawmakers were being offered cash and projects in exchange for a “yes” vote on the impeachment.
Acidre stressed that impeachment decisions are based on evidence presented in hearings, not rumors or claims of payoffs.
He added that the House is focused on reviewing the impeachment report and its supporting documents against Duterte.
