The national government has launched the “Bagong Bag para sa Mag-aaral” program to provide school bags and learning kits to 2 million Kindergarten to Grade 3 students nationwide.
The initiative aims to help families manage back-to-school expenses and ensure young learners are prepared for class.
Executive Secretary Ralph Recto said the program reflects the administration’s commitment to supporting children’s education and preventing them from being left behind due to poverty.
The initial rollout benefited 4,000 learners at Taytay Elementary Public School, with nationwide distribution to follow.
The program is being implemented through the Office of the Executive Secretary in partnership with the Department of Education.
