The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR) has ordered all licensed gambling operators to remove billboard advertisements and ads on public transport by August 15.
This directive covers materials on trains, buses, jeepneys, and taxis, aiming to regulate pervasive gambling promotions in public spaces.
Operators must submit an inventory of their gambling ads by July 16, detailing location, size, and permits.
PAGCOR emphasized it will only approve ads promoting responsible gaming and warned against replacing removed ads with new ones.
The agency is also working on tighter regulations for online gambling ads and collaborating with the Ad Standards Council to enforce stricter rules on TV and billboard gambling advertisements.
