US President Donald Trump said Iran allowed 10 oil tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz as a “present” to show seriousness in negotiations to end the Middle East war.
He described the move as a signal of cooperation, with eight tankers initially allowed and two more following after an apology from Tehran.
The tankers were reportedly Pakistani-flagged, though independent confirmation is lacking.
Marine data show several oil and gas carriers have transited the Gulf since Monday, some of which are subject to US sanctions.
Destinations for these vessels include China, Thailand, Singapore, and India, while others remain unknown.
