CHED is calling for stronger regional cooperation to promote the responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) and innovation in higher education across the Asia-Pacific.
CHED Executive Director Cinderella Filipina Benitez-Jaro made the call at the Sixth China-ASEAN Education Research Network Meeting in Guiyang, China.
She said AI is transforming teaching, research, governance, and other areas of higher education and should be used to improve education quality and inclusivity.
Benitez-Jaro also highlighted academic partnerships and regional platforms to boost knowledge exchange, research collaboration, and digital transformation.
Philippine Ambassador Jaime FlorCruz said educational exchanges between the Philippines and China can also strengthen bilateral and people-to-people ties.
